SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Four spring sports student-athletes from Penn State Schuylkill were recognized with postseason awards from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

In softball, junior first baseman Molly Carduff, a Shenandoah Valley graduate, was named an academic all-american.

In baseball, senior third baseman and pitcher Bryan Dimon, a Pine Grove graduate, was named second team all-american, while junior pitcher and outfielder Ryan Boyer, also a Pine Grove graduate, and freshman first baseman and pitcher Chris Kreider from ELCO were named honorable mention.

SHIPPENSBURG - Upper Dauphin's Colleen Troutman is the fourth seed in the Class AA girls' 400-meter dash for Friday's trials at the District 3 Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University.

Troutman's seed time is 1:01.0. Trinity's Shannon Quinn (58.87 seconds) is the top seed.

Troutman also is ranked sixth in the 100 at 12.87 and eighth in the 200 at 26.98.
