North Schuylkill (15-6) vs. Williams Valley (20-0)

When/Where: Today, 4:30 p.m., Patton Field, Orwigsburg

Tickets: $5 adults, $3 students

How they got here: North Schuylkill captured the Division I wild card with a 3-0 victory over Tamaqua in a tiebreaker game Monday. Williams Valley won the Division II title with a 13-0 record.

About the Spartans

Head coach: Dominick Grasso (7th season, 11th overall)

League playoff history: Haven't qualified for league playoffs since event resumed in 2009. Last won Schuylkill League Division I title in 2007.

Spotts singled in the fourth inning and was the only Spartan player to reach base. She also reached on an error in the seventh. ... Defending PIAA Class A champions have won 28 games in a row dating back to last season. ... Have not won league title since resumption of playoffs in 2009. ... Head coach: Joe DeAngelo (5th season)

League playoff history: Qualified for third time in past four seasons. In 2011, playoffs were canceled by rain. In 2012, lost to Pottsville 10-1 in semifinals.
