PINE GROVE - Andrew Belding tossed 6.1 shutout innings and scored the game's only run as Pottsville blanked Pine Grove 1-0 in a Schuylkill-Berks Legion League game Sunday afternoon at Stump Stadium.
Pottsville mustered just two hits off Pine Grove starter Austin Fick, who struck out seven in a complete-game effort. Belding singled in the third inning and scored on an error for the Lions' only run.

Peter Baddick, Nate MacDonald, Jake Humes, Matt Roberts and Adam Bates drove in runs in an eight-run, fourth-inning outburst that lifted the Blue Sox past the Lions at Steidle Field.
Leading 2-1, Tamaqua combined six hits with two walks to take control. Roberts' two-run double was the big blow.
League terminates Minersville's season
Minersville was unable to field a team for Saturday's game against Oley/Topton, and per Schuylkill-Berks Legion League bylaws, the Miners' membership is terminated.
Minersville's five remaining North Division games will be forfeited, with Tamaqua gaining two wins and four points in the standings, and Valley View, Pottsville and Southern Area gaining one win and two points.
