HEGINS - Matt McGarry threw a complete-game two- hitter as Pottsville broke a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over Valley View in a Schuylkill-Berks Legion League North Division contest Tuesday.
It was McGarry's first victory of the season.
Danny Doyle had a pair of doubles and Taylor Luckenbill had two singles for the Lions, who scored all three of their runs in the third inning.
Travis Crider and Ben Rautzahn each hit a double for the West Enders.

MINERSVILLE - James Brophy singled home Isaac Melochick in the bottom of the seventh with the game's only run in the Miners' North Division victory over the Blue Sox.
Melochick, who had three hits, singled to right-center to lead off the inning. He stole second and then came home on Brophy's base hit to right-center.
The hit ended a pitcher's duel between the Miners' Chad Purcell and Tamaqua's Josh Zehner.
Purcell threw a two-hitter, striking out four and walking three. Zehner allowed 10 hits, struck out five and walked one. There were no errors in the game.
Jarod Heffron had three hits for Minersville.

ORWIGSBURG - Jake Tobin and Tom Gallagher combined on a two-hitter as the Falcons downed the Athletics in a North Division contest.
Tobin pitched a no-hitter over the first three innings, striking out two and walking one. Gallagher got the victory with four innings of relief as he recorded three strikeouts and four walks.
Tobin knocked in two runs on a groundout in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the third.
