SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Doug Weist, Brandon Rockwell and Jake Freil drove in runs during a five-run sixth inning that lifted Schuylkill North to a come-from-behind, 8-7 victory over Schuylkill South in an Area 2 Teener League 13-14-year-old All-Star Tournament opening-round game Tuesday at Schuylkill Haven High School.

The North trailed 6-3 entering the inning. Weist had a two-run single, while Rockwell and Freil drove runs with singles to give the North an 8-6 advantage.

Max Nolter collected three hits for the North, including a double, while Max Schalley also hit a double.

Nick Kowalishen pitched three innings of relief to get the win, while Rockwell pitched the seventh to get the save

Kobe Brish had two hits for the South.

Schuylkill West 10 Schuylkill East 5

HEGINS - Jake Masser pitched five innings of shutout ball, while Dawson Maurer and Danny Scheib drove in three runs apiece during Schuylkill West's win over Schuylkill East at Hegins Park.

Masser allowed two hits and struck out three. Maurer and Scheib were both 2-for-3.

The West scored in every inning but the fifth as it put up three in the first, two apiece in the second and third and one each in the fourth and sixth.
