HALIFAX—Amber Laudenslager had 11 kills, five blocks and two aces to lead Halifax to a comeback victory over Millersburg in Schuylkill League Division III girls’ volleyball match Thursday evening.
Autumn Capouillez posted 30 assists, eight kills and four aces as Halifax rallied from losses of 25-19 and 25-21 in the first two sets to win the final three, 25-23, 25-20 and 15-9.
The Wildcats victory came after a 3-2 loss to Upper Dauphin on Tuesday.
Shannon Buggy posted nine kills and four aces for the Wildcats.
Millersburg was led by nine aces and five digs from Audra Dohrman. Sam Hines added eight kills and 18 digs while Taryn Herb posted eight kills and 10 digs. Kelsey Koppenhaver added 12 digs and Amber Roach had 19 assists, three digs and one block.
Millersburg won the JV match 2-0.

TAMAQUA — Mariah Curry finished with nine kills as Pottsville beat Tamaqua 25-19, 25-17, 25-11 in Division I play.
Emily Zelinsky added seven service points, four kills and four aces, and Madison Sherakas got five kills, three aces and seven service points for the Tide in their first win for head coach Maria Sherakas, who returned to the helm this season after three years away from the job.
Vanessa Solt scored seven service points and five digs for the Blue Raiders.
Alexis Baddick got six kills and five digs, and teammate Olivia Matula had four kills for Tamaqua.
Pottsville’s JV team won 2-0.

ORWIGSBURG — Brittney Moyer had 10 kills and five aces as Blue Mountain topped Jim Thorpe 25-12, 25-4, 25-13 in a Division I contest.
Maya Throne recorded 18 digs and two aces, and Ashley Snesavage had 19 assists, four aces and three kills for the Eagles.
Blue Mountain won the JV match 2-1.

COAL TOWNSHIP — One night after a three-set sweep of Class AA state-ranked Holy Redeemer, Marian swept Lourdes 25-8, 25-1, 25-11 in a Division II match.
Abby Stankiewitch led the Fillies with nine kills and two blocks. Abby O’Donnell had 23 assists, Maureen Kloap posted five kills and both Courtney McCall and Lauren Nietz each had four digs.

PINE GROVE — Kayla Bressler posted 15 kills to lead Pine Grove to a 25-21, 26-28, 15-25, 25-22, 15-12 victory over Panther Valley in a Division II match.
Alyssa Hatter posted seven kills, Holly Martin had 19 digs and Marla Stoner had 15 assists for Pine Grove.

SHENANDOAH — Mariah Sands recorded three kills, nine points and four aces to lead Shenandoah Valley over Weatherly 25-7, 25-16, 25-7 in Division IV action.
Kristina Nieddu added 16 points, 16 assists and eight aces, and Alaina Demalis had 12 points and 11 aces for the Blue Devils.
Sammy Hartz had one kill, two aces and six points for the Wreckers, while Alexis Hartz contributed two kills and Jackie Gillot added six points, one ace and one assist.

MAHANOY CITY — Noelle Kaufman recorded 15 kills, 12 assists, seven digs and five service points to lead Mahanoy Area to a 25-17, 25-13, 25-16 win over Schuylkill Haven in a Division IV match.
The Bears’ Mychaellah Lucas added nine kills, 20 assists, four digs and seven service points.
Rylee Kane finished with four kills, three aces, three blocks and three service points, and Desiree Malacusky had four kills, four aces, four digs, four blocks and nine service points for Mahanoy Area.
Schuylkill Haven won the JV match 2-0.
