TREMONT - John Holobetz and Jake Kuperavage combined on a three-hitter and were backed by a 14-hit attack as Saint Clair/Port Carbon/New Philadelphia clinched the District 24 Little League 9-10-year-old Pool 1 title with a 16-2 win over Pine Grove/Tremont.
Holobetz went the first three innings to get the win, striking out seven. Kuperavage pitched the fourth.
Riley Stanton, Dylan Shirey, Justin McCure, Holobetz and Kuperavage had two hits apiece for SPN, with Shirey and Kuperavage each hitting a double and triple.
Kuperavage's triple drove in SPN's first two runs of the game as SPN jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning.
Millersburg 10 Shenandoah 3
SHENANDOAH - Caden Feaster went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs as Millersburg won its third straight game by defeating Shenandoah.
Tate Etzweiler struck out eight in four innings of work and Calen Lawson scored three runs and stole home for Millersburg, which finished 3-1 in Pool 2. Millersburg will advance to the semifinals if Orwigsburg loses to Rotary today or if Rotary scores five or more runs.
Josh Chowansky and Owen Kosar each had two hits for Shenandoah.
Schuylkill Haven 12 Frackville 1
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Mason Reber and Mason Ulsh each recorded two-run hits to propel Schuylkill Haven past Frackville in a four-inning Pool 4 game.
Reber followed up Ulsh's two-run triple with a two-run double of his own as part of an eight-run second inning.
Logan Burke had Frackville's lone RBI.
10-11 Baseball Minersville 10 Cressona 4
CRESSONA - Nico DiNicola pitched a complete and had a pair of hits as Minersville rallied past Cressona in a Pool 1 game under the lights Saturday night.
Cressona led 3-2 in the fourth before Minersville used a six-run outburst to take control.
District 18 10-11 Tamaqua Blue 20 Jim Thorpe 6
JIM THORPE - Emily Titus slugged a pair of two-run homers and a double as Tamaqua Blue rolled to a four-inning win in the opening round of the District 18 10-11-year-old Tournament.
Bronson Strouse added three hits for Tamaqua Blue, which faces Towamensing in a winners' bracket game at 2 p.m. today.
Emma Kuczynski and Michael Minchhoff each added two hits for Tamaqua Blue, with Kuczynski hitting a solo homer and an RBI double.
