JIM THORPE — Robert Heller ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns as Jim Thorpe scored all of its points in the second half during a 27-6 Anthracite Football League victory over Panther Valley on Friday.
The victory kept the Olympians as one of the two unbeaten teams in AFL along with North Schuylkill.
Heller had touchdown runs of 10 and 47 yards. Kevin Vitti and Antonio Madera added touchdown runs for Jim Thorpe.
Panther Valley scored its points on Ali Capobianco’s 95-yard kickoff return. The Panthers’ Rian Shubeck rushed for 90 yards for Panther Valley, which had 107 yards of offense in the game.

WILLIAMSTOWN — Matt Miller rushed for 147 yards and scored three touchdowns for Williams Valley in a non-league loss to Northern Lebanon.
Miller opened the game with an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and added a 4-yard run in the second quarter to give the Vikings a 14-0 lead.
Northern Lebanon, however, outscored Williams Valley 35-6 the rest of the way to roll to the victory.
On defense, Miller intercepted two passes for Williams Valley.
