Gabrielle Evans scored the game’s only goal with 32 seconds left in the first half as Pottsville shut out Schuylkill Haven 1-0 in the regular-season finale for both Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
Evans scored from about 30 yards out for her 23rd goal of the season.
Alyssa Kondrack stopped both Hurricanes shots on goal as the Crimson Tide earned its eighth shutout of the year.
Schuylkill Haven’s Kelsey Sisko left the game with an injury with a minute left in the first half.
The Hurricanes, the Schuylkill League Division II champs, take on Division I wild-card Blue Mountain in the league semifinals Wednesday at Pine Grove’s Cardinal Stadium.
Pottsville is off until the start of the District 11 Class AAA playoffs in two weeks.

SHENANDOAH — Carly Gregas had nine kills and four digs to lead the Spartans to a 25-23, 25-19, 10-25, 25-18 victory over the Blue Devils in a non-league match.
Lacey Deeter had 12 digs and six assists for North Schuylkill. Leanna Gregas posted four kills and five digs, while Vanessa Ferraiolo had nine assists and Alex Morgan had four aces.
Marcella Creasy had 13 kills, three blocks and nine digs for Shenandoah Valley. Mariah Sands served 15 points and had 11 digs. Kristina Nieddu posted 30 assists and 11 digs, while Alaina Demalis had 25 digs.
Shenandoah Valley won the JV match 2-1.

COAL TOWNSHIP — The Battlin’ Miners capped their regular season with a 14-6 record by beating the Indians 25-21, 25-17, 25-19 in a non-league match, Minersville’s fourth straight victory.
Emily Bartashus led the Battlin’ Miners with five kills and 15 digs. Erica Nettles added four kills and 12 digs, while Meg Schwalm had 27 digs and two aces.

Cecilia DiNicola added nine kills, 10 blocks, five digs and two aces for Nativity. Ashley Strausser had nine kills, six digs and five aces, while Noelle Steele had 32 assists and nine digs.

ELIZABETHVILLE — Taylor Brown posted 18 digs, but the Trojans fell 25-15, 25-11, 25-12 to the Hawkeyes in a non-league match.
Nichole Campbell and Laura Sweger had four kills apiece for Upper Dauphin. Campbell added eight digs and Sweger had two aces and four blocks. Colleen Kolva also had seven assists and Kelsey Hoffman had seven digs for the Trojans.
Hanover was led by Khadija Bias’ eight kills, Alexa Merrel’s seven aces and Kelsey Staub’s 20 assists.
