LEHIGHTON — Led by quarterback Tyler Cann’s three touchdown passes, Lehighton moved into a tie with Jim Thorpe for second place in the Anthracite Football League with a 45-7 victory over Shenandoah Valley on Friday night.
Cann posted touchdown tosses of 39 yards to Tom Ruzicka, 67 yards to Tyler Crum and 19 yards to Crum. Cann also rushed for a touchdown.
Rushing for 181 yards in the game, Wyatt Clements ran for two touchdowns for the Indians, who led 45-0 after three periods. Ruzicka also ran for a touchdown.
Jeremy Urbanavage, who rushed for 136 yards, ran for a touchdown for Shenandoah Valley.

NEWPORT — Newport kept its share of the Tri-Valley League lead with a victory over Upper Dauphin.
Trevan Dorman led the Buffaloes with four touchdowns on a 41-yard interception return, a 70-yard kickoff return, a 17-yard pass reception and a 44-yard run.
Dorman also tossed a touchdown pass.
Dalton Klinger rushed for 158 yards for the winners.

Entz caught a 90-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brycen Mussina to give Montoursville a 14-0 lead early. He later ran in a 2-yard score and caught a 6-yard TD pass, finishing with 117 yards on three catches.
Tucker Yost scored both touchdowns for Shamokin and gained 66 yards on 10 carries to lead the Indians’ run game. Yost added 75 passing yards.
