ORWIGSBURG — Senior Brittney Moyer notched her 1,000th career kill as Blue Mountain advanced to the Class AA semifinals of the District 11 tournament Thursday with a 25-13, 25-19, 27-25 sweep of Lehighton.
Moyer finished with 15 kills and 10 digs as Blue Mountain won the matchup of Schuylkill League Division I rivals.
Blue Mountain will oppose Saucon Valley or Notre Dame Green Pond in Tuesday’s semifinals at a time and site to be announced.
On Thursday, Ashley Snesavage helped the Eagles (18-2) with 36 assists and nine digs. Alex Ferrier had 10 kills and Jordan Skoff posted eight digs and four kills.
For Lehighton, which finished at 10-9, Alyssa Jordan had nine kills and four digs, Katie Higgins posted six kills and 11 digs, and Tori Eads-Rodriguez had 12 assists.

MACUNGIE — Madison Felty had five blocks, five kills and eight digs for Schuylkill Haven in its 25-16, 25-16, 25-12 loss to Salem Christian in the District 11 Class A quarterfinals.
Ending its first appearance in the district playoffs in more than a decade with a 10-11 record, Schuylkill Haven also gained 10 assists and five digs by Tori Pascucci and 11 digs and three kills by Malory Medaglia.

BETHLEHEM — Top-seeded Bethlehem Catholic eliminated Pine Grove from the District 11 Class AA bracket with a 25-7, 25-16, 25-16 victory.
The loss ends Pine Grove’s season at 8-9.

ALLENTOWN — Allentown Central Catholic moved into the Class AA semifinals with a 25-7, 25-5, 25-15 triumph over Panther Valley.
Panther Valley ended its season with an 11-5 record.

HALIFAX — In a match to determine the Twin Valley Conference championship, Halifax swept Millersburg 25-22, 25-19, 25-22.
Shannon Buggy led Halifax with four kills, eight digs and two aces. Amber Laudenslager added six kills and three aces. Allison Costa had five kills, Tori Lupold had eight digs and Autumn Capouillez posted 19 assists.
For Millersburg, Amber Roach had 15 assists, Jessica Millard posted 14 digs, Kori Hirsch had 11 digs and Sam Hines had six kills. Taryn Herb added three blocks.
