SHENANDOAH — Abby Snitzer had 15 points and Marcella Creasy and Molly Michalik each added 10 for Shenandoah Valley in a 59-18 non-league girls’ win over Tamaqua on Wednesday night.

The Blue Devils opened the game with a 16-1 edge in the first quarter and extended it to 33-5 at the half.

Kristina Nieddu and Carly Teaschenko each chipped in eight points for Shenandoah.

Bailey Hartung’s seven points led Tamaqua, which will be missing Paige Demetriades a while due to injury.

WYOMISSING — Jarvay Bolton scored 15 of his 25 points in the first quarter to lead the Spartans to a non-league win over the Eagles.

Mark Chelius scored 13 of his game-high 28 points in the third quarter, but Blue Mountain fell too far behind in the first half to make up the deficit.

Wyomissing led 21-9 after the first quarter and 37-20 at the intermission.

Dean Stramara added 18 points for the Eagles.

The snowstorm that intensified late Wednesday afternoon across the area forced two boys’ basketball games, four girls’ basketball games and one wrestling dual meet to be rescheduled.
