ORWIGSBURG — Dean Stramara and Spencer Welsh hit two free throws apiece in second overtime to lift Blue Mountain to a thrilling 90-86 victory over Lehighton in a Schuylkill League Division I boys’ basketball contest Thursday evening.
Mark Chelius tied the game and drew the foul, sinking the foul shot to put the Eagles up with less than 2 minutes to play in the second overtime as Blue Mountain overcame a five-point deficit.
Chelius led the Eagles with 26 points, including six in the two overtime periods. Aaron Albertini tallied 23 for the Eagles, with eight of those coming in overtime.
Tyler Crum had a team-high 25 points for the Indians, followed by Tyler Williams and Nick Chambers, who added 16 points each.
