TOWER CITY — Mike Wronski gave the Golden Bears the lead for good on a 3-pointer with 30 seconds left in the game to lift Mahanoy Area to a thrilling Division II-III crossover victory over the Vikings.
Cody Miller gave Williams Valley the lead at 46-44 with 2:10 left in the game. The Golden Bears’ Brian Miller tied it at 46 with 1:37 remaining. Wronski then followed with his 3.
The Vikings’ Siul Sepulveda missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Matt Yedsena led Mahanoy Area with 14 points, while Miller added 13.
