Pine Grove goes

2-3 at Neshaminy

NESHAMINY — The Pine Grove wrestling team compiled a 2-3 record Saturday at the Neshaminy Duals.

The Cardinals defeated Archbishop Ryan 57-18 and Bensalem 38-35 while losing 45-22 to Chichester, 48-18 to Plymouth-Whitemarsh and 63-12 to Neshaminy.

Daniel Diaz-Walton led Pine Grove with a 4-1 record, racking up three falls.

Valley View Legion

VALLEY VIEW — The Valley View Legion Baseball team, which competes in the Schuylkill-Berks Legion League, is searching for a head coach.

Penn State lands

pair of recruits

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State received committments from a pair of top recruits Sunday after hosting its official visit weekend.

Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, defensive tackle Robert Windsor became the first commit. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound prospect picked the Nittany Lions over a late offer from Wisconsin. He also previously had scholarship offers from Illinois, Maryland and Purdue.

Windsor is the No. 70 defensive tackle by 247Sports. He was a first-team All-State selection as a senior.

Windsor was joined later in the day by George Washington (Pa.) defensive end Shareef Miller. The 6-5, 225-pounder selected the Lions over scholarship offers from Arizona State, Florida, Miami, Pittsburgh and Rutgers.
