MINERSVILLE — Dave Graham scored a team-high 12 points as Minersville continued its winning streak with a 69-34 rout of Tri-Valley in a Schuylkill League Division II contest Wednesday at Thomas Fitzpatrick Gymnasium.

Graham scored eight of his points in the third quarter as the Miners built on their 31-13 halftime advantage with a 22-8 scoring advantage to put the game away.

Jon McBreen and Brian Brennan finished with nine points apiece for Minersville, which won its sixth straight.

Jaden Buchanan recorded a game-high 14 points for the Bulldogs.

MAHANOY CITY — Brian Miller had a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds as the Golden Bears downed the Hurricanes in a Division II-III crossover.

Matt Yedsena added 17 points for Mahanoy Area, which pulled away with a 16-8 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter.

Danny Blugis and J.T. Hughes had 10 points apiece for Schuylkill Haven. The Hurricanes were eliminated from District 11 Class AA playoff contention with the loss.

COAL TOWNSHIP — Larry Czeponis had a game-high 19 points to pace the Red Raiders to a Division II victory over the Vikings.

Czeponis did most of his damage from the foul line, finishing the night 13-of-14. He also grabbed seven rebounds. Jordan Fobia added 14 points and Kenny Pawelizyk had 10 for Lourdes.

Nick Rodichock had 18 points to lead Williams Valley, while Siul Sepulveda added 14 from the foul line.

Blue Mountain had 14 assists as a team. The Eagles were down 9-8 after the first quarter but outscored Oley Valley 47-23 the rest of the game.

HAZLETON — Penn State Schuylkill’s women delivered their biggest upset of the season by sending Penn State Hazleton to just its second loss in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Madison Blasko had 14 points while Tessa Dolce posted 13 points and 15 rebounds for PSU-Schuylkill. Colleen Druby added 13 points.

Alexis Daly’s 19 points paced Penn State Hazleton.

HAZLETON — Beneiko Harris posted 27 points and William Bracey had 12 points and 11 rebounds in Penn State Schuylkill’s PSUAC loss to Penn State Hazleton.

Jordan Singletary’s 3-pointer with 3:50 remaining put PSU-Hazleton ahead to stay.

Singletary led Hazleton with 25 points while Jacob Solano added 24.
