Cabela’s set to hold

Turkey Classic events

A series of free seminars on hunting spring gobbler is being held today at Cabela’s Hamburg as part of its 2015 Turkey Classic. Representatives from the hunting industry are conducting the seminars and will also have product demonstrations.

• Turkey Classic Seminars: 10 a.m. — Ask the Experts: Eastern Turkey Tactics by Cabela’s Pro-Staffer Gerry Rightmyer and Realtree Pro Staffer Tim Andrus; 11 a.m. — Turkey Calling Made Easy by Zink Calls; Noon — Hunting Pressured Public Land Turkeys by Pennsylvania Outdoors Writers Association past president Freddie McKnight; 1 p.m. — Choosing the Correct Choke and Turkey Load; 2 p.m. — Archery Gobblers by Primos Pro Staffer Kenny McGeehan.

Activities continue Friday-Sunday, March 20-22, when the National Wild Turkey Federation presents its second annual Outfitter Expo event featuring more than 20 hunting and fishing outfitters from across the country. Concluding the event at 5 p.m. Saturday is an NWTF Auction and Fundraising Banquet of trips provided by each of the outfitters, with more than $5,000 worth of door prizes being awarded.
