LEHIGHTON — Lehighton’s first baseball game in the Schuylkill League was a rough one.
Sean Greenawalt and Dean Stramara combined on a no-hitter as Blue Mountain defeated the Indians 6-1 in a Division I contest.
Greenawalt struck out nine in five innings while Stramara fanned four in two innings. Lehighton’s only run came when Hunter Greene walked, stole second and eventually scored on a wild pitch in the seventh.
Adam Hull, Austin Krammes, Robbie Oliver, Greenawalt and Stramara each had two hits in Blue Mountain’s 14-hit attack. Zach Martin collected a pair of RBIs, while Dave Kyslinger had a key RBI double in the second inning.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Tevin Murray and Bobby Grigas combined on a one-hit shutout as the Spartans blanked the Cardinals in a Schuylkill League Division I contest.
Murray pitched five innings, allowing one hit and walking four while striking out three. Tanner Levan’s lead-off single in the fourth inning was Pine Grove’s only hit.
Grigas tossed the final two innings for the save, striking out all six batters he faced.
Offensively, the Spartans scored single runs in the first and second innings. In the first inning, Grigas and Richie Zahodnick had singles before Grigas scored on a double play grounder.
In the second, C.J. Steinhilber tripled and scored on a single by Jordan Marlow.

TAMAQUA — Bo Rottet was 4-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI and Matt Minchhoff slugged a two-run homer as the Blue Raiders routed the Olympians in a six-inning Division I game.
Minchhoff finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs, while Connor Hartung was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Tamaqua compiled 18 hits.
Brady Akins and Harold Moll combined on a one-hit shutout, with Akins fanning four over four innings and Moll recording five strikeouts in two frames.
Nick Porembo’s third-inning single was Jim Thorpe’s lone hit.

MINERSVILLE — Zach Brown’s RBI single keyed a four-run second inning that lifted the Miners to a Division II victory over the Dawgs.
Minersville capitalized on three Tri-Valley errors in the frame. The Miners collected just two hits the entire game, with Dylan Stephen’s two-out RBI triple knocking in an insurance run in the fourth.
Sophomore Steele Fekette pitched a complete-game four-hitter for the Miners, striking out five and walking three. Losing pitcher Hunter Bordner had an RBI single for Tri-Valley.

Vandermartin added four aces. Kory Kleckner posted seven kills, four digs and two blocks for the Crimson Tide (0-6, 0-5 Berks I).
Marckens Griffon had three blocks, 40 assists and five digs for Fleetwood.
Pottsville won the junior varsity match, 25-17, 25-23.
