MONT ALTO — Marcella Scheeler drove in seven runs and Penn State Schuylkill posted 31 hits in two games as it swept Penn State Mont Alto 10-5 and 15-5 in a Penn State University Athletic Conference doubleheader.
Stephanie Killian, Jena Leffler and Kait Boyer each had three hits for PSU Schuylkill in the opening game, in which Penn State Schuylkill scored eight runs in the final three innings.
Becky Schweikert got the win despite allowing six walks and 10 hits.
In the nightcap, Scheeler had five RBIs while Erin Luckenbill and Killian each had three hits for the local Lions.
