PINE GROVE — Hayley Wolff’s two-run triple keyed an eight-run second inning that propelled Pine Grove past Lourdes 16-1 on Thursday in a Schuylkill League Division I game.

Wolff finished with three RBIs as the Cardinals climbed back to the .500 mark.

Pine Grove scored early and often to lead 13-0 after two innings.

Faith Sleva contributed two hits and three RBIs, while Caitlyn Becher added a pair of RBIs for Pine Grove.

Pottsville 1

Matt Trout led Pottsville with seven kills and four digs, but the Crimson Tide fell 25-12, 25-9, 25-27, 27-25 to Wilson on Thursday in a Berks League Section I match.

Kory Kleckner added six kills, three blocks and one dig, while Justin Abdo contributed three kills and two blocks for Pottsville (1-7, 0-6 Berks I).

Austin Lubas paced Wilson (3-1, 3-1) with 15 kills and seven digs. Carly-Cliff Derosier dished out 39 assists and had 10 digs and two blocks. Quinn Lloyd chipped in with seven kills for the Bulldogs.

Wilson won the JV match 2-1.
