LANSFORD — Completing a comeback from a slow start, Schuylkill Haven’s charge into the District 11 Class AA softball playoffs is complete.
The Hurricanes, led by Emma Schweigert’s home run and 100th career RBI, routed Panther Valley 19-1 in four innings on Saturday in a Schuylkill League Division II-III crossover game.
The victory was Schuylkill Haven’s 10th of the season, clinching the Hurricanes’ district playoff berth after owning just a 2-6 record on April 15.
Schweigert also doubled twice to join Sarah Personette, Sarah Donati, Alyssa Gerber and winning pitcher Kassidy Svenson with three hits each in the Hurricanes’ 22-hit assault.

ORWIGSBURG — Sean Greenawalt drove home all three runs as Blue Mountain held off Fleetwood in a nonleague game.
Greenawalt hit a two-run single in the third inning and added an RBI single in the fifth as Blue Mountain took a 3-1 lead before Fleetwood got one run in the sixth.
Greenawalt finished with three hits.
Fleetwood, which stranded a baserunner with one out in the seventh, was led by three hits from Tyler Emge and two from Lukas Emge.

TOWER CITY — In a 12-minute, one-inning conclusion of a game suspended Thursday because of darkness, Nativity scored the run it needed to finish the Division II game by the 10-run rule.
