Memorial set at Big Diamond
FORESTVILLE — A memorial billboard noting past members of the Big Diamond Speedway racing community will be erected at the track.
The 4-foot-by-8-foot billboard, sponsored by Mark’s Service Center, Pottsville, will be part of the Gone But Not Forgotten Memorial night next Friday at Big Diamond.
“As we look to the future of Big Diamond, we have to acknowledge that it was the people of the past who helped preserve it for today,” promoter Jake Smulley said.
People can submit names of anyone associated with the track for inclusion on the billboard. There is no fee. Names must be emailed to smulleyracing@gmail.com by 11 p.m. Monday.
