PINE GROVE — Zach Boltz went 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and five RBIs to power Pine Grove to a 16-2 victory over Kutztown on Sunday in the first game of a Schuylkill-Berks Legion League doubleheader.
The Grovers took the nightcap 5-2.
In Game 1, Steve Zimmerman also had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a home run, three runs scored and four RBIs.
Tanner Levan pitched four scoreless innings to earn the victory.

HEGINS — In a wild, back-and-forth affair, Tamaqua held off Valley View 12-11 in the first game of a doubleheader.
In the nightcap, the West Enders earned a split by taking a 12-6 victory.
Game 1 had a little bit of everything. The teams combined for 23 runs, 23 hits and six errors.
Valley View jumped out to a 7-0 lead, only to see Tamaqua score six runs in the fifth inning and six more in the sixth for a 12-7 lead.
In the bottom of the seventh, the West Enders scored four runs before Peter Baddick got the final out to preserve the victory.
For Tamaqua, Matt Roberts went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Casey Rother knocked in three runs, while Baddick contributed two RBIs.
For Valley View, Chase Schaeffer went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI. Andrew Belding had a 3-for-5 game with two runs and one RBI. Hunter Bordner added three RBIs for the West Enders.

J.J. Spherley, Aiden Liptock and Darion Jacoby had three hits apiece as Pottsville rallied with a four-run sixth inning to come back and down Oley/Topton Post 217 8-6 in the second game of a doubleheader at Steidle Field.
The Patriots won the opener 10-1.
Jacoby finished with three RBIs and a double for the Lions in Game 2, while Brandon Daubert drove in two runs. Pottsville trailed 6-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth.
Michael Kuperavage went the distance to get the win, allowing seven hits and six runs, including four earned. He struck out two and walked five.
Eric Wapinsky and Collin Herndon had the only hits for the Lions as Bryson Turner (five innings) and Jack Troutman (two innings) combined on the two-hitter for Oley/Topton in the opener.
