KUTZTOWN - There are new sheriffs in town for three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division football teams this season.

Paul Darragh (Bloomsburg), Drew Folmar (Kutztown) and Greg Breitbach (Millersville) were introduced with their teams during Monday's annual PSAC Preseason Media Conference at Kutztown University.

The three new coaches are part of a season of change in the PSAC, which has revamped East and West divisions.

The realignment came about when LIU Post departed the PSAC to join the Northeast 10 Conference.

Lock Haven has moved to the East Division to fill the eight-team division, with first-year PSAC member

- East - Bloomsburg, Cheyney, East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Millersville, Lock Haven, Shippensburg, West Chester

- West - California, Clarion, Edinboro, Gannon, IUP, Seton Hill, Mercyhurst, Slippery Rock

Darragh, who was Bloomsburg's defensive coordinator the past 16 seasons, is the Huskies' interim head coach. He replaces the school's all-time winningest coach, Danny Hale, who resigned after the season.

Under Darragh's direction, the Huskies have ranked among the PSAC leaders in total defense seven of the past 11 seasons, including back-to-back No. 2 rankings in 2000-01 and No. 2 in 2009. They have also ranked among the best in the PSAC in run defense, finishing first or second five times, including second in two of the last four seasons.

Prior to joining the Huskies, Darragh was a linebacker coach for two years at Indiana (Pa.) after beginning his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Temple from 1987-89. From there, he coached the linebackers at Northeastern and Gannon before being promoted to defensive coordinator at Gannon.

Darragh moved from Gannon to the defensive coordinator position at William Paterson College before joining the IUP staff. A three-year starter and captain for Temple, he graduated in 1985 after earning All-East honors as an inside linebacker.

"I don't see us making a lot of changes, but that's not to say we won't tweak a few things here and three," Darragh said. "After all, we've been pretty successful doing what we do running the ball and playing good defense."

Folmar replaces Ray Monica, who resigned to become head coach at Arkansas Tech. Folmer coached the offensive backs and quarterbacks the past three years with the Golden Bears, helping Kutztown become one of the most prolific offenses in the PSAC East.

Under Folmar, who established passing records during his playing career as a quarterback at Millersville, Kutztown had a 28-8 record - the best three-year run in the program's 97 seasons. He joined the Golden Bears after the 2008 season and took a unit that ranked 96th in NCAA Division II in scoring and 86th in total offense the season prior to his arrival and molded it into a dominant force.

In the last three seasons under Folmar the Kutztown offense never ranked lower than 12th in the country in scoring offense and has finished 10th in total offense in each of the past two seasons. In each of the last three seasons, his offenses have set single-season Kutztown records for points scored, including 490 points last season.

Breitbach comes to Millersville from NCAA Division I University of North Dakota, where he was the offensive coordinator the past five seasons. There he helped turn the school from a force in Division II to a Division I conference champion, winning the Great West Conference title with an 8-3 record.

Last year, as North Dakota moved into the Big Sky Conference, Breitbach's offense averaged 33.5 points and 430.5 yards of offense per game. His offense set school and Big Sky Conference records for yards passing in a game.

In five seasons as the offensive coordinator, Breitbach's six starting quarterbacks combined to throw for 94 touchdowns compared to just 45 interceptions. Seven of Breitbach's players landed first-team all-conference honors since making the leap to Division I FCS in 2008.
