PINE GROVE — There are no more unbeaten teams in the Schuylkill League.

Cameron Shollenberger netted the game winner in the 74th minute to lift Pine Grove to a 2-1 victory over Jim Thorpe in a Schuylkill League Division I game Monday, handing the Olympians their first loss of the season.

Thorpe entered Monday’s games with a 4-0-1 mark, its tie coming against Schuylkill Haven.

Coyote Acevedo scored in the 34th minute to put Thorpe in front, but Brandon Lapp set up Michael Elo’s goal in the 56th minute to pull the Cardinals even.

Jason Soper made 13 saves in goal for Pine Grove.

COAL TOWNSHIP — Ricardo Chagolla recorded a hat trick to help the Hilltoppers down the Red Raiders in a Division II game.

Kenny Pawelczyk tallied both goals for Lourdes, including the opener in the 10th minute. But Chagolla scored from the penalty spot to pull Nativity even in the 36th minute.

Chagolla’s other goals came in the 60th and 66th minutes. Cristian Vazquez scored the final goal for Nativity, which is a perfect 3-0 in league play this season.

LEHIGHTON — Joe Marks scored four goals, and Dan Baka added four assists as Lehighton topped North Schuylkill for a Division I shutout.

Marks over the weekend broke Lehighton’s scoring record, which was previously 41 set by Anthony Rossino.

Frank Bokan recorded one goal and two assists, Zach Christoff had a goal and an assist, and Tyler Dietz stopped all five shots he faced for the Indians.

WEATHERLY — John Stiely tied the game with a first-half goal, and Ethan Schatz scored the game-winner with less than three minutes left to play as Tri-Valley edged Weatherly for a Division II win.

Bryce McNally made 10 saves for the Bulldogs.

Jake Stover scored the Wreckers’ lone goal.
