MAHANOY CITY — Mahanoy Area became the third Schuylkill League Division IV team to qualify for the District 11 Class A playoffs on Thursday.
Rallying from a 2-0 deficit, the Golden Bears posted a 25-27, 23-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-6 victory over Upper Dauphin in a Division III-IV crossover match.
Mahanoy Area head coach Chris Fallabel said his team committed 28 hitting and serving errors in the first two sets, but just 16 in the final three to rally past the Trojans (8-5, 5-5 D-III).
Mychaellah Lucas led Mahanoy Area, which joins Nativity and Minersville in the District 11 Class A field, with 31 assists and 18 service points, including six aces. She added four kills and seven digs.
Desiree Malacusky added 15 kills, five blocks and eight service points, including three aces, for the Bears (10-3, 7-3 D-IV). Mickayla Backo added 12 kills, nine digs and seven service points, including two aces. Samantha Gnall had six kills, 14 digs and 12 points, including three aces, while Jennie Neifert had eight points, including five aces, along with four kills and four digs.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Kendall Lehman recorded 12 kills, nine digs, three assists, two aces and two blocks as Halifax beat Schuylkill Haven 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16 for a Division III-IV crossover victory.
Jordyn Ashberry posted 24 assists, six digs and two aces for the Wildcats (8-4, 6-4 D-III) in their first win after two straight losses. Brianna Turner had eight kills and Tori Lupold added 10 digs.
Maddy Felty had 11 kills, 10 blocks, 12 digs and seven service points to power Schuylkill Haven (2-11, 2-8 D-IV). Also for the Hurricanes, Tori Pascucci had 31 digs, five kills and eight service points, while Ashley Ferrando contributed 12 service points, three aces and 15 assists.

Noelle Steele had 18 assists, 11 digs, two kills and two aces to help lead the Division IV-leading Green Wave to a 25-21, 25-14, 25-17 Division III-IV crossover victory over the Indians atop Lawton’s Hill.
Cecelia DiNicola had nine kills and five digs for Nativity (10-1, 10-0 D-IV), while Carley Lionetto added nine digs and Shannon Reiley posted five aces.
For Millersburg (5-6, 4-6 D-III), Taryn Herb had seven kills, three blocks, three aces and 16 digs. Emily Schade posted eight assists while Cheyanne Phillips had two kills and seven digs. Cassidy Prince had seven digs while Megan Paul had five digs and three aces. Karleen Bell had three digs.
Nativity won JV 2-0.

Ashley Snesavage posted 31 assists and nine digs, and Maya Throne recorded 25 digs to lead Division I leader Blue Mountain past Pottsville 25-23, 25-22, 25-16 in a division match.
Snesavage and Throne both reached career milestones, with Snesavage passing 1,000 assists and Throne passing 1,000 digs in the win.
Jordan Skoff added 15 digs and 10 kills for the Eagles (11-1, 8-1 D-I), while teammate Lex Juritsch had 14 digs and eight kills.
Kyra Schenk led the Crimson Tide (6-5, 5-4) with six kills and eight blocks, Kasie Shaw had eight digs and two kills, and Rileigh McPhillips finished with four kills and four blocks.
Blue Mountain won JV 2-0.

WEATHERLY — Alexis Hartz posted eight aces, five kills, four digs and 13 service points as Weatherly topped Williams Valley 25-11, 25-22, 25-19 in a Division III-IV crossover contest.
Megan McClintock added nine aces, three kills and 20 service points, and Samantha Andreuzzi had three kills, two aces and three service points for the Wreckers (4-9, 2-8 D-IV).
Jenna Daniels recorded three kills and four digs, and Rylie Thomas added six assists for the Vikings (1-11, 1-9 D-III).
Williams Valley won the JV match 2-0.

LEHIGHTON — Alyssa Jordan posted nine kills, four aces and four digs as Lehighton swept Tamaqua 25-12, 25-8, 25-17 for a Division I victory.
Katie Higgins added six kills, six digs and three aces, Tori Eads-Rodriguez had 15 assists, nine digs and five aces, and Cassandra Gower recorded seven aces for the Indians (6-5, 5-4 D-I).
Carly Kosciolek posted four kills and three digs for the Blue Raiders (3-8, 1-8) while Kaitlyn Stauffenberg added 10 assists and two digs.
Lehighton JV won 2-0.

JIM THORPE — Abigail Stankiewitch posted 15 kills and three aces, and Maureen Kloap added nine kills, five aces and three digs as Marian topped Jim Thorpe 25-11, 25-17, 25-7 in Division I-II crossover action.
Jasmine Mooney recorded six kills and three digs, Courtney McCall had 29 assists and three digs, and Abby Pilla added four kills for the Fillies (9-2, 9-0 D-II).
Jim Thorpe lost its second match in two days to fall to 7-7, 4-5 in Division I.

LANSFORD — Jamey Mikovich posted seven kills, five digs, four aces and seven service points as Panther Valley downed Lourdes 25-19, 25-14, 25-9 for a Division II win.
Danielle Hudicka added three kills, four assists, two aces and 10 service points for the Panthers (10-2, 7-2 D-II). Hannah Hill had three kills, two aces and five service points, and Sydney Clouser recorded five aces and nine service points.
Francis Czeponis finished with eight kills and two blocks, Madison Munson had seven kills, and Tyra Ericson added 12 assists for the Red Raiders (0-11, 0-9).
Panther Valley won JV 2-0.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Alexa Kolb had 10 kills, 13 digs and three blocks as Pine Grove defeated North Schuylkill, 25-10, 24-26, 19-25, 25-18, 15-9 in a Division II match.
Halting a two-match skid, the Cardinals (3-7, 3-6 D-II) added 31 assists and three aces by Callie Edwards along with 28 digs by Brandi Wetzel.
North Schuylkill (4-7, 3-6), which lost its third match in a row, was paced by 22 kills and four aces by Sammy Shinkus. Leanna Gregas added 13 kills and eight digs. Alanah Guerrero had 11 kills and Grace Major had 10. Vanessa Ferraiolo posted 51 assists.
Pine Grove won JV 2-1.
Shamokin 3
Shenandoah Valley 0
SHENANDOAH — Julia Najera posted two kills and one block, but Shenandoah Valley fell to Shamokin 25-6, 25-19, 25-11 in a non-league contest.
Olivia Gallo added five points and Madison Kowalik had four digs for the Blue Devils (1-11).
Anna Delbaugh and Kayla Baney both had four kills for the Indians, and Madison Rodarmel added 13 assists and two aces.
Shamokin won JV 2-0.
