After a 12-game regular- season league schedule, the Schuylkill League Division I girls’ soccer championship remains unsettled.
A tiebreaker game will decide it.
Both Pine Grove and Blue Mountain won their regular-season finales Wednesday to finish tied atop the Division I standings, forcing a tiebreaker game at 7 p.m. Monday at Pottsville’s Alumni Field.
The Cardinals (17-1, 11-1 D-I) rolled past Tamaqua 8-1 on Wednesday, while the Eagles (15-2-1, 11-1) downed Jim Thorpe 2-0. Pine Grove beat the Eagles 3-1 in their first regular-season meeting Sept. 22, while the Blue Mountain won Monday 2-1 at the Eagles’ Nest to force the tiebreaker.
The Division II championship was decided Wednesday after Minersville beat Williams Valley 6-1.
The league semifinals are Tuesday at Tamaqua. Monday’s loser will take on Division I champ Minersville (16-2, 14-0 D-II) at 5 p.m., while Monday’s winner faces Division II runner-up Williams Valley (13-5, 12-2) at 7.
The championship game is at 5 p.m. Saturday at Tri-Valley’s Bulldog Stadium.

PINE GROVE — Coral Kreiser and Mariah Lesh scored two goals apiece as a big second half lifted the Cardinals to a Division I victory over the Raiders at Cardinal Stadium.
Steph Aungst, Adrianna Tennis and Rachel Edge had two goals apiece for Pine Grove, while Nilitza Malave had two assists. The Cardinals were leading 2-1 at the half and put the game away with six second-half goals.

JIM THORPE — Freshmen Jacey Miller and Sydney Riegel scored goals during a five-minute span in the first half as the Eagles downed the Olympians in a Division I contest.
Miller scored on a penalty kick with 19 minutes left in the half, while Riegel had an unassisted goal with 14:10 remaining.
Blue Mountain outshot Jim Thorpe 22-1 in the game as Olympians’ keeper Rebecca Cressman finished with 20 saves.

Bree Burgess had two saves for Columbia Montour-Vo Tech, while Shannon Frye made five saves for Weatherly.
It is the second time the two teams played to a draw and was third tied game for the Rams this season. The two played to a 2-2 tie Sept. 24. Columbia Montour-Vo Tech also played to a 0-0 draw at Nativity on Sept. 18.
