ORWIGSBURG — Aaron Albertini and Brayden Lewis combined for 11 fourth-quarter points as Blue Mountain held off Schuylkill Valley 61-43 to earn its first win of the season in a non-league contest Monday.

Albertini finished with a game-high 14 points, while Lewis added 11.

Schuylkill Valley cut into a 13-point halftime deficit, getting it to 45-41 at end of third quarter. However, Blue Mountain held the Panthers to only one field goal in the fourth.

LEHIGHTON — Hunter Greene scored a game-high 18 points as the Indians earned a non-league win over the Colts.

Steven Jackson added eight points for Lehighton, which led 34-21 at halftime before Marian cut it to 41-34 through three quarters behind 12 points apiece from Brandon Mohammed and Ryan Karchner.

Greene scored six points in the final quarter as Lehighton held the Colts to just one field goal in the fourth.

Matt Elmore and Rayan Green added 11 points apiece for Jim Thorpe, which used a 31-14 scoring advantage over the middle quarters to pull away.

Ethan Conage paced Schuylkill Haven with 11 points.

NEWPORT — Jaden Buchanan led three Bulldogs in double figures with 17 points but it wasn’t enough as Tri-Valley fell to the Buffaloes in a non-league contest.

Ashton Buchanan and Dan Opozda added 12 points apiece for the Bulldogs, who lead 33-31 at halftime.

Noah Reich had a game-high 25 points for Newport, which used a 16-8 scoring advantage in the third quarter to take a 47-41 lead.

Christian Wilson (50 free), Colin Rickard (diving), Jacob Wessner (100 backstroke) and Nick Yackenchick (100 breaststroke) also captured individual events for Blue Mountain.
