Blue Mountain made a statement Monday night.

It says: The Eagles are going to be a factor in the Schuylkill League Division I girls’ basketball race this season.

Jillian Moyer’s free throw with 6.9 seconds left lifted Blue Mountain to a 47-46 victory over Pottsville in a battle of unbeatens at Martz Hall.

Trailing 46-43, the Crimson Tide’s Sadie Cresswell made her fourth 3-pointer of the night to tie the game with 46.6 seconds to play.
