FORESTVILLE - Big Diamond Speedway promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley announced a switch in the headline division for Sunday's scheduled 6:15 p.m. program at the Forestville oval.
The 358 late models will replace the 358 modifieds because the latter division is competing the previous night in the Freedom 76 program at Grandview Speedway, Bechtelsville.
All late models that meet the rules at Grandview and Williams Grove speedways and at Susquehanna Speedway Park will be eligible for the Big Diamond program. The feature will consist of 25 laps. The first-place purse will be $1,000, while cars that take the green flag are guaranteed $100.
The division will join the sportsmen, scheduled for a 25-lap feature with the late models' purse structure, and the roadrunners, which will race a 20-lap feature with $225 going to the winner.
The late models' appearance is their first at Big Diamond since Josh Richards won a 40-lap World of Outlaws feature June 24, 2009.
