Paige Demetriades scored 16 points, and Vanessa Solt contributed 12 to lead the Blue Raiders.

HEGINS - Kylie Spickler collected eight of her 12 points during a 13-7, third-quarter spurt that helped lift the Dawgs to a non-league victory over the Zephyrs.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - Lauren Damiter led the way with 12 points as the Spartans collected a non-league victory over defending District 4 Class AA champ Mount Carmel.
Carly Gregas added 10 points for the Spartans, who held off the Red Tornadoes' fourth-quarter surge.
Jen Bolick paced Mount Carmel with 13, while Izzy Stellar added 10.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Emma Schweigert scored 10 points of her team-high 16 points in the first half, helping the Hurricanes earn a non-league win over the Olympians in their season opener.
Starting her first varsity game, freshman Sarah Donati finished with 15 points, scoring 11 in the first half as Schuylkill Haven built a 39-20 edge.
Freshman Alexys Naranjo led all scorers with 17 points to pace Jim Thorpe.

ORWIGSBURG - Mark Chelius scored eight of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, hitting six free throws down the stretch to help the Eagles secure a non-league victory over the Spartans.
Will Bornstein netted a game-high 22 points, scoring 15 in the first half. Bornstein was saddled with foul trouble in the second half. Shane Grapsy also pitched in 11 points for Blue Mountain.
Jim Thorpe 52 Schuylkill Haven 40
JIM THORPE - Bryce Micciche posted 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to pace the host Olympians past the Hurricanes.
Deonte St. Hill added 14 points for Jim Thorpe in its first win of the season.
Schuylkill Haven was paced by 18 points by Xavier Webb and 16 by Mike Ulsh.
Wilson 58 Pottsville 43
WEST LAWN - Wilson used the 3-pointer to outgun the visiting Crimson Tide as the Bulldogs scored eight times from beyond the 3-point arc to send Pottsville to its first loss.
Sam Smith led the way for Wilson with 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Matt Timochenko posted 11 points and Jaylin Calloway added 10.
Pottsville was paced by Travis Blankenhorn, who scored 22 points.

SHENANDOAH - Brett Kosciolek scored 18 points, while Bo Rottet added 10 as the Blue Raiders held off the Blue Devils in a non-league tilt.
Angelo Maskornick poured in a game-high 20 points, and Kayin Herb added 11 for Shenandoah Valley. The Blue Devils had several opportunities to tie it in the fourth quarter but couldn't convert a 3-pointer.

FREELAND - Jake Szczecina tallied 14 of his game-high 23 points in the second half as the Panthers toppled the Preppers in a non-league matchup.
Kyle Ferryman added 20 points for Panther Valley, which led by 10 at halftime.

KUTZTOWN - Joshua Kisha scored 11 of his team-high 12 points in the second half and finished with 11 rebounds as the Hawks earned their first victory under Ryan McGinley, beating Kutztown in a non-league game.
Pat Barter also tallied eight of his 10 points in the second half, pulling 10 rebounds for Hamburg.

LEHIGHTON - Anthony Russino scored a game-high 14 points, leading the Indians to a non-league victory over the Colts.
Nick Wesner paced Marian with seven points.
Women's College Basketball PSU-Mont Alto 58 PSU-Schuylkill 49
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Dominique Grasso totaled 13 points and pulled eight rebounds, but Penn State Schuylkill was unable to hold a halftime lead in a PSUAC loss to Penn State Mont Alto.
Amina Whyte tallied 12 points, and Sarah Celani added 10 and eight boards as Schuylkill took a 32-27 lead at halftime. Mont Alto opened the second half with a 15-3 run and the local Lions never recovered.
