HOMETOWN - Brian Miller hit a pair of free throws with 50 seconds left to give Mahanoy Area some breathing room as the Golden Bears held off Marian 33-26 in a Schuylkill League Division III contest Monday night.
Tyler Cavenas and Larry McNeil scored eight points apiece to lead the unbeaten Golden Bears, ranked 10th in the state in Class A.
Marian's Anthony Agosti was the game's leading scorer, netting nine points.

ORWIGSBURG - Kyle Slane tallied 13 of his game-high 16 points in the first half, elevating the Eagles to a Division I rout of the Panthers.

SHENANDOAH - John Storm and Angelo Maskornick hit a foul shot apiece in overtime, leading the Blue Devils to a victory over the Wreckers in a Division III contest.
Storm registered 15 points and 14 boards to pace Shenandoah Valley.
After trading 3-pointers in overtime, Storm and Maskornick each hit one shot of a 1-and-1 to give the Devils a one-point lead. A 3-pointer by Weatherly missed and Kayin Herb grabbed the board to seal the win.
Luke Figas scored 19 points for the Wreckers.

TOWER CITY - Ben Rautzahn registered a game-high 18 points and Brendan Miller had 12 rebounds, carrying the Vikings to a Division II win over the Hurricanes.

HEGINS - Bryce McNally and Jaden Buchanan combined for 20 second-half points as the Dawgs pulled away for a Division II victory over the Red Raiders.
Buchanan netted 11 of his team-high 15 , while McNally scored nine of his 11 points in the second half. Cale Bruso tallied 10 assists for Tri-Valley.
Larry Czeponis led Lourdes with 17 points, followed by Mike Gilger with 14 and Jordan Fobia with 10 points and 10 boards.

MINERSVILLE - The Battlin' Miners had three players in double-figures in a non-league trouncing of Mount Carmel.
Senior Dylan Ellinger led Minersville with 16 points.

KUTZTOWN - Kobe D'Agostino collected a career-high 26 points, scoring 14 in the first half in the Cardinals' non-league drubbing.
