FORESTVILLE - Big Diamond Speedway promoter Jake Smulley announced Friday that the track will conduct its richest Coalcracker 72 program during the 2014 season.
The Jack Rich Inc. Coalcracker 72 will pay $10,000 to the winner of the 358 modified feature. Each car that takes the green flag is guaranteed at least $700.
The program is scheduled Sunday, Aug. 31, and will include roadrunners along with a fireworks display.
WILLIAMSPORT - Tri-Valley graduate Tanner Troutman has become the first Lycoming College football player to lead NCAA Division III in an individual football category since 1986.
Troutman posted eight pass interceptions in 10 games for a rate of 0.8 per game to tie Montclair State's Matt Mancino for first in the division.
Troutman is the first Warrior player to lead NCAA Division III in a category since Larry Barretta led the division in total offense in 1986.
