Athletic Honors: Zimmerman is a two-sport standout for the Cardinals, excelling in baseball and football. In baseball, Zimmerman is entering his third year as a starter at catcher, earning Republican-Herald All-Area first-team honors the past two seasons. As a sophomore, Zimmerman hit .370 (34-for-92) with 31 runs scored, five homers and 34 RBIs as the Cardinals went 23-7, won the Schuylkill League and District 11 Class AA championships and were the PIAA Class AA state runners-up. As a junior, Zimmerman hit .373 (22-for-59) with 27 RBIs, six doubles and five homers as the Cardinals went 13-9 and lost to eventual champion Salisbury in the district semifinals. Zimmerman was a 2013 PHSBCA All-State Class AA first-team selection and was chosen to play for Pennsylvania in the Big 26 Baseball Classic in July in Harrisburg. Also in the summer, Zimmerman helped the Pine Grove Legion team reach the Schuylkill-Berks Legion League Championship Series, before the Grovers lost to Oley/Topton. In football, Zimmerman led the area in sacks from his defensive end spot as a sophomore as the Cardinals went 9-2 and reached the District 11 Class AA semifinals. After missing his junior season due to a knee injury, Zimmerman took over the reins at quarterback last fall and guided the Cardinals to a 10-0 regular-season record, the Tri-Valley League championship and a District 11 Class AA semifinal playoff berth. He was named the Tri-Valley League and Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association South Defensive Lineman of the Year, was selected to The Republican-Herald All-Area first team, the Tri-Valley League first-team defense, the SCFCA Dream Team and the SCFCA South first-team defense at defensive end after recording 12 sacks and 14 tackles for loss.

Academic Honors: Zimmerman is a member of the Varsity Club, SADD and is a Little Cardinals football volunteer.

Christopher Bonk, Lock Haven

Athletic Honors: A 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman, Bonk starred as an offensive lineman and defensive lineman the past three seasons for the Blue Devils. Bonk has earned a variety of postseason honors for his play. Bonk has been named to Hazleton Standard-Speaker All-Area first team at offensive line the past three seasons, and was selected at defensive line this past season. As a sophomore, he was a second-team Republican-Herald All-Area selection at offensive line and was an honorable mention selection at both offensive and defensive line to the Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association North squad. As a junior, Bonk was a first-team SCFCA North selection at offensive line and second team at defensive line, and was a second-team pick to the Anthracite Football League all-stars and an honorable mention selection to the Republican-Herald All-Area team at offensive line. This past fall, Bonk received second-team AFL honors on both offense and defense, and was named to the SCFCA North squad on both offense and defense. He has twice earned T-102 Defensive Player of the Game honors, in 2012 against Minersville and last fall against North Schuylkill.

Academic Honors: Bonk is an honor roll student.

John Storm, Kutztown

Athletic Honors: Storm was a four-year varsity letterwinner for the Blue Devils, playing tight end and defensive end. He was named to the Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association North second team at defensive end and was an honorable mention selection to the Hazleton Standard-Speaker All-Area team at defensive end.

Academic Honors: Storm is an honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society and is a member of the basketball team.
