SHENANDOAH - Shenandoah Valley started a big week for the Marian baseball team off on the wrong foot.
Derek Dombrowski went 3-for-4 with seven RBIs as the Blue Devils upended the Colts 16-14 in a high-scoring Schuylkill League Division II contest. The teams combined for 30 runs and 28 hits, eight for extra bases.
Dombrowski hit a three-run, bases-clearing double in Shenandoah Valley's six-run second inning, then delivered a similar shot in the Devils' four-run fifth inning. Shenandoah Valley led 10-2 after two frames and 16-7 after five.
Adam Sajone and Ian McCole each added three hits for the Blue Devils, who avenged a 19-7, five-inning loss to the Colts on Thursday. The win snapped Shenandoah Valley's four-game losing streak.
Anthony Agosti hit two doubles and Luke Stawick had two hits and two RBIs for Marian, who scored seven runs over the final two innings but couldn't complete the comeback.
The Colts, who fell out of a first-place tie in the division, visit Schuylkill Haven today, host Tri-Valley on Wednesday and host Minersville on Friday, weather permitting.

MAHANOY CITY - Trevor Whelski delivered a two-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Vikings on the winning track over the Golden Bears in a Schuylkill League Division II contest.
Mahanoy Area erased a 1-1 lead in the fifth inning, but Whelski put the Vikings' lead at three runs with his double off Tyler Davies.
Williams Valley starter Jarred Matter struck out seven, helping the Vikings end a five-game losing streak.
Nativity 14 Weatherly 3
WEATHERLY - Jeff Yordy went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs as the Hilltoppers outlasted the Wreckers in a Division II game.
Tyler Hunyara hit a solo homer in the second inning for Nativity, which pulled away with a three-run fourth inning, added two in the sixth and four more in the seventh.
Tim Lash drove in all three runs for Weatherly, two coming on a home run in the second inning.
Schuylkill Haven 10 Wyomissing 4
WYOMISSING - Danny Blugis' one-out triple sparked a six-run, 10th-inning rally that lifted the Hurricanes to a non-league win over the Spartans.
Ryan Fink and Nick Behm doubled and Blayne Moyer, Vinnie Fanelli and Mike Ulsh singled in the outburst by Schuylkill Haven, which had just four hits through the first nine innings.
It's the Hurricanes' third extra-inning victory this season, and second one that took 10 innings.

ORWIGSBURG - Troy Moyer singled, tripled and collected three RBIs as Blue Mountain overpowered Oley Valley in a six-inning non-league game.
Dean Stramara struck out four and scattered six hits to get the win for the Eagles. The Lynx had won 10 straight games, a streak that included wins over Pottsville and Schuylkill Haven.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - Alex Hummel hit a grand slam with two outs in the second inning to propel the Spartans to a five-inning, non-league rout of the Indians.
Alex Wiley tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out eight for the Spartans, while Tom Gallagher added two hits.

TAMAQUA - Owen Bates went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Russell Blaker and Ian Nicholls combined to strike out seven batters, but the Blue Raiders dropped a non-league contest to the Cardinals.
Tamaqua rallied from a 5-0 deficit with seven runs over the final four innings, but the Raiders' comeback fell short.

ESPY - Matt Hudicka struck out seven batters and hit a two-run double as the Panthers beat CMVT in a non-league game.

LANCASTER - Mac Ney hit a three-run home run and Tanner Miller and Kyle Glouner added solo shots as the Trojans routed Lancaster Country Day in a Tri-Valley League game.
Glouner and Dylan Lesher combined on a three-hit shutout and fanned eight to keep UDA unbeaten in league play.
