Southern Area picked up one Schuylkill-Berks Legion League victory Sunday after a strange ending.
The A's then earned another win in a more conventional fashion in the evening.
Southern Area was granted a North Division forfeit victory over Pottsville at Steidle Field after the two teams battled to a 2-2 tie through 11 innings and the Lions ran out of players.
The A's then traveled to Hamburg and smacked the Reds 15-5 in five innings in a crossover game at Hamburg Community Park.
In the opener, the A's opened the scoring on an error in the third inning, but Pottsville answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame on a throwing error and Dan Doyle's RBI single.
Southern Area tied the contest in the top of the sixth on back-to-back doubles by Shane Grapsy and Sean Greenawalt, and the teams battled through five scoreless frames before Pottsville couldn't continue.
Against the Reds, Dean Stramara was 3-for-4, including a double and triple, while Troy Moyer and Brett Moore added two hits apiece.
Stramara, Danny Blugis, Zach Martin and Moore each knocked in three runs in the game.
The A's jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the top of the first, then added six more in the top of the fifth inning.
Lane Koury pitched the first four innings to get the win for Southern Area, while Ryan Atkinson was 3-for-3 for Hamburg.

HAMBURG - The Reds scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to pick up a crossover victory over the Blue Sox at Hamburg Community Park.
Ryan Atkinson was 3-for-3 for Hamburg, while Jacob Lenkiewicz and Brandon Fry were both 2-for-4.
Tyler Seidel went the distance to get the win, striking out seven and walking one.
Matt Roberts and Jacob Humes were both 2-for-4 from Tamaqua, which tied the game with a run in the sixth.
Roberts struck out 11 over eight innings and only walked one, but took the loss.
