The Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association will make a decision this afternoon on whether or not to postpone Wednesday’s 28th annual Senior All-Star Game.
A snowstorm is slated to hit the Schuylkill County area Wednesday morning, putting the game — set for 7 p.m. at Schuylkill Haven’s Rotary Field — in jeopardy. Panther Valley’s Matt Davis will coach the North squad, while Williams Valley’s Tim Savage will guide the South. Last year’s game ended in a 6-6 tie.
At halftime, the SCFCA will induct four coaches into its Hall of Fame: Tom Bonner of Panther Valley, the late Barry Hackenberg of North Schuylkill, Kevin Keating of Pottsville and the late Pat Droskinis of Cass Township.
If postponed, the game would be moved to 7 p.m. Friday at Rotary Field. A decision is expected by 1 p.m. today.
