to WBCA program
BRADFORD — Pitt-Bradford senior forward Alicia Kimmel has been selected to the 2015 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association “So You Want To Be A Coach” program, the WBCA announced Tuesday.
Kimmel, a Pine Grove graduate who has scored more than 1,000 points in her collegiate career, is the first player in the history of the Pitt-Bradford program and Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference to receive this honor.
Each year, the program is conducted on the site of the WBCA National Convention — held this year in Tampa, Fla. — and is limited to 50 enrollees selected from those nominated by their head coaches.
“For the last few years Alicia has expressed a lot of interest in wanting to coach and this is a wonderful opportunity and experience that will allow her to meet and interact with so many great coaches and administrators,” Pitt-Bradford coach Patrick Daniel said.
