HEGINS — Abigail Snitzer made two baskets all night long.

The second might be the biggest of the season for Snitzer and the Shenandoah Valley girls’ basketball team.

Snitzer made a 3-pointer at the final buzzer Tuesday to lift the Blue Devils to a 29-26 victory over Tri-Valley in a Schuylkill League Division II-III crossover clash.

The game was low-scoring and hard-fought throughout. Tri-Valley led 15-14 at halftime. Shenandoah Valley led 18-17 after three quarters.

The Devils’ Carly Teaschenko was the only player to score in double figures with 10 points.

Regan Newswanger scored six points to lead Tri-Valley’s offense.

Shenandoah Valley’s win and Marian’s loss to Minersville created a tie atop the Division III standings. Both the Devils and Fillies are 4-1 nearing the halfway point of the league season.
