Akins, a junior right-hander, struck out seven and walked two in a complete-game effort, improving to 3-0 on the season.
Russell Blaker paced the Raiders’ seven-hit attack with two hits.

PHOENIXVILLE — Penn State Schuylkill prepared for this week’s Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs by sweeping Valley Forge 15-3 and 18-8, winning both games in five innings.
Stephanie Killian had two home runs and four RBIs in the opening game for PSU-Schuylkill (16-8).
Now with 102 hits, Jena Leffler became PSU-Schuylkill’s all-time career hits leader with three hits in the second game.
