Williams Valley’s known for swinging the bats.

The Vikings’ offensive firepower was on full display during Thursday’s Schuylkill League Division II game against Nativity atop Lawton’s Hill.

Williams Valley scored in every inning to overwhelm the Green Wave 16-3 in five innings.

For the 14th time in 18 games, the Vikings compiled double-digit hits, finishing with 16.

And for the 12th time this season, the Vikes reached double digits in runs.

Haley Nestor led the way by going 4-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and four RBIs.

Maura Kreiser went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs; Kate Whelski was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Hannah Nestor added two hits and two runs scored for Williams Valley, which scored nine runs in the fifth inning to end the game early.

For Nativity, Rachael Souchak hit a solo home run and Ryleigh Walaconis smacked an RBI double.

SHILLINGTON — Katie Deegan hit an RBI triple in the sixth and Rachael Setlock had two doubles and an RBI as the Tide held off Governor Mifflin’s late rally to pick up a non-league win.

Olivia Moran recorded two hits and an RBI, and Elise Horvath also knocked in a run for Pottsville.

Caitlin Bonk struck out eight in a losing effort for the Blue Devils, while Kayla Moncrief and Olivia Gallo had two hits apiece.
