Player of Week
Schuylkill Valley’s Ian McCole was one of three players honored Wednesday by the Schuylkill-Berks Legion League as its Player of the Week.
McCole, who also earned the honor June 15, was the Schuylkill Player of the Week after going 8-for-13 at the plate with two runs scored and four RBIs. He also pitched three innings, striking out five.
Oley/Topton’s Sebastian Williamson and Hamburg’s Ryan Atkinson shared Berks Player of the Week honors.

at Hidden Valley
FRIEDENSBURG — Barry Reed, of Bernville, shot a hole-in-one while golfing Monday at Hidden Valley Golf Course.
Reed aced No. 8 with a 5-iron. He was playing with Warren Trautman, Arlen Wurst and Chase Miller.
