Carly Hoak, Hannah Evans and Catie Coyle had goals to back a dominating defensive performance as the Pottsville girls’ soccer team shut out Nativity 3-0 in a non-league contest Saturday at Alumni Field.
Hoak (8th minute) and Evans (22nd minute) gave the Crimson Tide a 2-0 halftime advantage, while Coyle (73rd minute) scored late in the game to set the final.
Pottsville held a 22-0 edge in shots on goal.

Autumn Calnon and Cassandra Schorr added goals for Williams Valley, which led 2-0 at halftime and put the game away with four second-half goals.
Keeper Alyssa Schadle made six saves for the Vikings.

Rajah Quinones added a goal and two assists for Lehighton, which fell behind 1-0 in the first half. Yurasits scored two of her goals in the first half to give the Indians a 2-1 halftime advantage.
