HOMETOWN — Abigail Stankiewitch became the fifth Marian player ever to surpass 800 career kills as Marian swept Pine Grove 25-10, 25-10, 25-22 in a Schuylkill League Division II volleyball match Tuesday night.

The win clinches the Fillies’ second straight Division II championship and a berth in the Schuylkill League semifinals against Division IV champion Nativity next Tuesday at a time and site to be announced.

Stankiewitch finished the night with 19 kills, increasing her career total to 804. Maureen Kloap contributed four aces and four digs, while Courtney McCall tallied 26 assists for the Fillies (13-2, 12-0 D-II).

Callie Edwards registered three assists and three digs, Brandi Wetzel added 21 digs, Chloe Readinger finished with four digs and Alexa Kolb tallied two kills, two blocks and six digs for Pine Grove (4-11, 4-8).

Marian won JV 2-0.

Panther Valley 3

North Schuylkill 0

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Jamey Mikovich compiled 11 kills, three blocks, seven service points and four aces as the Panthers defeated the Spartans 25-13, 25-11, 25-10 in a Division II match.

Cassidy Ryan collected eight kills, six aces and 16 digs and Kelsey Van Horn added five kills, 15 assists, and two aces for Panther Valley (13-2, 10-2 D-II). Danielle Hudicka totaled 14 assists.

For North Schuylkill (5-10, 3-9 D-II), Leanna Gregas had three kills and four blocks. Grace Major had seven digs and three blocks while Alanah Guerrero posted 10 digs. Vanessa Ferraiolo had 20 assists.

Panther Valley won JV 2-0.

Blue Mountain 3

ORWIGSBURG — Ashley Snesavage had 24 assists, four aces and three kills to pace the Eagles to a 25-5, 25-7, 25-13 sweep of the Red Raiders in a Division I-II crossover match.

Alex Ferrier added six kills and seven aces for Blue Mountain (15-1, 11-1 D-I), while Maya Thorne had nine digs and five aces, and Jordan Skoff had eight kills.

For Lourdes (0-17, 0-12 D-II), Maya Yoder compiled two kills, Tyra Ericson added two assists and Mary Komara had an ace.

Blue Mountain won JV 2-0.

Lehighton 3

Pottsville 2

LEHIGHTON — Alyssa Jordan earned her 600th career point as the Indians outlasted the Crimson Tide 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14, 15-9 in a Division I match.

Jordan finished with 13 kills, 12 digs and two aces, Autumn Frey contributed two kills, two aces and two assists, Andrea Schafer finished with 12 digs, five kills and four aces and Tori Eads-Rodriguez tallied 33 assists, 10 digs, three kills and three aces for Lehighton (11-6, 8-4 D-I).

Pottsville (8-7, 6-6) gained 11 kills, four blocks and two aces from Kyra Schenk. Becca Sites had seven digs, six kills and two aces while Leah Guzick had 24 assists. Rileigh McPhillips added five kills and two blocks.

Pottsville won JV 2-0.

Jim Thorpe 3

Tamaqua 0

JIM THORPE — Erin Shigo collected 10 kills and five digs as the Olympians earned a 25-22, 25-14, 25-14 Division I sweep over the Blue Raiders.

Jillian Peterson added nine digs and two kills, Alexandra McGinley contributed 13 digs and two kills, Mackenzie Rosenberger compiled six digs and five kills and Kelsey Carroll finished with 10 digs and 18 assists for Jim Thorpe (9-9, 5-7 D-I).

Alexis Baddick compiled six digs, three kills and three blocks, Kaitlyn Stauffenberg added 15 assists and three digs and Mackenzie McVicker totaled nine blocks and five kills for Tamaqua (3-11, 1-11).

Jim Thorpe won JV 2-0.

Mahanoy Area 3

WEATHERLY — Mychaellah Lucas completed a busy night with 24 assists, five digs, 10 service points, six aces, two blocks and two kills as the Golden Bears earned a 25-15, 25-21, 25-18 Division IV victory over the Wreckers (7-11, 4-10 D-IV).

Desiree Malacusky contributed nine kills, three blocks and two aces and Mickayla Backo tallied eight kills for Mahanoy Area (12-5, 9-5). Jennie Neifert had six kills, one ace and three digs.

Weatherly’s Lexi Hartz collected 14 service points, four kills and seven kills, Jackie Gillott added three service points and two digs and Samantha Andreuzzi totaled two service points and three kills.

Mahanoy Area won JV 2-1.

Nativity 3

Shenandoah Valley 0

SHENANDOAH — Ashley Strausser collected six aces, 11 kills and 10 digs as the Green Wave swept the Blue Devils 25-15, 25-8, 25-9 in a Division IV match.

Also for Nativity (14-2, 14-0 D-IV), Jocelyn Holobetz compiled 12 kills and seven digs, Noelle Steele registered four aces and 17 assists and Carley Lionetto had seven digs.

Marcella Creasy contributed five kills and seven digs, Allie Wargo recorded 10 digs and five service points and Alaina Demalis finished with seven digs and two aces for Shenandoah Valley (1-15, 1-13).

Nativity won JV 2-0.

Minersville 3

Schuylkill Haven 1

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Lauren Womer recorded 21 assists and nine digs to lead the Battlin’ Miners to a 25-17, 21-25, 25-22, 25-14 victory over the Hurricanes in a Division III match.

Riley Lonergan collected 10 kills, Meg Schwalm compiled 27 digs and Erica Nettles tallied 10 kills, nine digs and two aces for Minersville (15-2, 12-2 D-IV).

Maddy Felty paced Schuylkill Haven (4-14, 3-11) with eight aces, 15 service points, 15 kills and two blocks, Tori Pascucci collected 20 digs and Macy Dawson compiled seven kills and eight digs.

Minersville won JV 2-0.

Millersburg 3

Williams Valley 0

MILLERSBURG — Taryn Herb recorded 17 kills, three aces, 16 digs and two blocks as the Indians swept the Vikings 25-23, 25-20, 25-15 in a Division III match.

Cassidy Prince collected 15 digs, eight service points, four aces and two kills, while Cheyanne Phillips added six kills, 16 digs and four service points and Emily Schade dished out 19 assists, four kills, four digs and 10 service points for Millersburg (7-9, 5-8 D-III).

Brittanie Rhoads registered five aces and nine digs, Rylie Thomas added seven assists and Jenna Daniel tallied five kills for Williams Valley (1-18, 1-13).

Millersburg won JV 2-0.
