HAMBURG - Tri-Valley may have lost most of its starters after last season's run to the PIAA Class A championship, but the Bulldogs didn't skip a beat in Friday's 2013 season opener.

Kylie Spickler scored a game-high 15 points to lead Tri-Valley to a 46-30 victory over Wyomissing in the Hamburg Tip-Off Tournament.

Taryn Wilson recorded 13 points and Paige Doyle added 10 more as the Bulldogs rode a 16-3, second-quarter run for the win.

Tri-Valley faces Cocalico, a 58-33 winner over Hamburg, in today's championship.

HAMBURG - Hannah Schoenly and Kassidy Lesher scored 14 points apiece for the Hawks in the opening round of the Hamburg Tip-Off Tournament.

BETHLEHEM - Keegan White scored a game-high 11 points as the Golden Girls rolled past Moravian Academy in a non-league game.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - North Schuylkill's Nadia Spotts led all scorers with 17 points, but it wasn't enough as the Spartans fell to Allentown Central Catholic in their season opener.

North Schuylkill led 17-6 after the first quarter, but the play of ACC's Olivia Roseman and Alyssa Mack, who combined for 23 points, allowed the Vikings to pull away in the third quarter with a 12-5 advantage.

FREDERICKSBURG - Pine Grove's Becky Evans tallied a game-high 15 points, but the Cardinals fell to Lebanon in the Northern Lebanon Tip-Off Tournament.

CAMP HILL - Laura Sweger scored 17 points and went 5-for-7 on the free-throw line as Upper Dauphin used an 18-9, fourth-quarter run to put away Columbia in the Camp Hill Tip-Off Tournament.

CATASAUQUA - Shana Leshko hit three 3-pointers for nine points and Laura Bisco added another nine points as Mahanoy Area dropped its season opener.

HALIFAX - Cassidy Pinchorski tallied a game-high 21 points, but the Vikings fell to Halifax.
