TOWER CITY — Nathan Wise, Tyler Cleveland and Jesse Engle all blasted home runs to account for eight runs as Upper Dauphin dominated Mahanoy City 11-0 in a four-inning, District 24 Little League Tournament 11-12-year-old Pool 4 game on Tuesday.
Engle’s home run was a three-run shot in the first inning. Cleveland also hit a three-run blast in the second, while Wise had a two-run homer in the third.
Zach Smeltz added an RBI double in the fourth inning for Upper Dauphin County, while Bronson Kelly drove in two runs.
Holben Stiely struck out seven and walked two in four innings to get the win.
Aaron Buckouski and Craig Derr had hits for Mahanoy City.

MILLERSBURG — Billy Gerott, Alex Tidmore and Peyton Hashin had two hits apiece to pace Orwigsburg to Pool 1, four-inning shutout of Millersburg.
Orwigsburg put up four runs in the first inning and built on from there. Hashin hit a two-run double in the second inning, while Carter Griffith added a two-double in the third. Tidmore also drove in two runs in the game.
Gerott went the distance to get the win, striking out nine and walking one.
Chance Crawford has Millerburg’s only hit.

PINE GROVE — Kobe D’Agostino and Mark Weinus each had two hits to lead Pine Grove to a victory over Schuylkill Valley in a Schuylkill-Berks American Legion League game.
Pine Grove scored 10 runs in the opening inning to take control.
Logan Levan, Steve Zimmerman and Zach Boltz, who doubled, each had two RBIs for the winners.
Schuylkill Valley, hurt by six errors, was paced by three hits by Ian McCole, who hit one of the team’s four doubles.
