SV to induct 4 into sports hall
SHENANDOAH — The Shenandoah Valley Athletic Department will induct four individuals and one team into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame during Friday’s Anthracite Football League game with Jim Thorpe at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The inductees will be introduced and presented with commemorative plaques prior to kickoff.
This year’s class includes: Jamie Krusinsky, Class of 1998; Dr. Jodi Piekarski Loughlin, Class of 1989; Ryan Sands, Class of 2000; Shaina Whitecavage, Class of 2003; and the 1996 District 11 Class A champion Blue Devils football team.
Penn State-Army game sold out
STATE COLLEGE — The football game between Penn State and Army West Point has been sold out, Penn State officials announced Wednesday.
The sellout is the first at Penn State since Oct. 25, 2014, when Penn State opposed Ohio State.
Single-game tickets for all other home games, including Saturday’s game against Buffalo, remain available.
The kickoff time and television arrangements for the Penn State-Army West Point game have not been announced.
